Guernsey Cows
Grace Harbor Farms
I love that stuff!
Sara and Rainbow, the first two Guernseys we had at Grace Harbor Farms. We now have five milking cows, and plan to add more soon. Thank you !
Guernsey milk is unique. It has more natural beta carotene than ordinary cow milk giving it an lovely golden milk color. The milk is also naturally sweeter tasting than ordinary milk. But one of the most  interesting things about Guernsey milk is that most Guernsey cows produce milk with a different type of protein than ordinary cows. This protein type is known as A2, verses A1 in most other cows. Click on the links above to learn more about A2 verses A1 milk.

Here at Grace Harbor Farms we care currently producing  yogurt from Guernsey milk and it  is getting rave reviews! Several people told me our yogurt is "to die for."   When I told Sandy, the lady who helps make the yogurt that she said we would have to change our logo on our shirts! Right now it says,
"I love that stuff!".
The yogurt is made from non-homogenized milk so the cream rises to the top. When you open the container there is this beautiful layer of yogurt cream. You can stir it back in, or spoon it off and use it like butter. It is amazingly delicious!
